This hot, sweltering mood has left most of us in only two main moods: (A) enjoying the air conditioner in an indoors, controlled environment (B) making the most of the summer by making travel plans to exotic (mostly cold?) destinations. Our current mood? A little bit of both.
I had the chance to go take a peek at Celio’s newest collection earlier today, and what I found was a wonderful spread of fashion for men that aligned with the possibility of their many moods. I spotted collections varying from grey-and-black dominated street style, sophisticated jackets that got my corporate mood on, and even relaxed monochrome looks that were perfect for lounging about. While the entire selection of so many styles had me happy, I have to tell you all about this look I styled to depict the current frame of mind:
With a little bit of travel and a whole lot of summer on mind, I thought it only fair to dominate this look with the use of linen. White is irreplaceable for me in the palette of summer colours, and the contrast of it with bottle green is something I always love. I wanted this look to be all about comfort and something you could easily move distances in, which is why I chose to leave the shirt out without any tucking. A grey hat with black details and the tan shoes were my way of adding neutral tones on the look without necessarily picking any one side of colours from across the range. A little style tip I want to give to the boys is to keep in mind that linen shirts are among the most flexible pieces you will ever own in your wardrobe. They go very well with airport style, and can easily be taken from day to night as well. My personal favourite for everyday wear would be to pair them up with denims, but if you’re looking for some added comfort, cargos or linen pants like these could be the way to go. You can also try them with chinos for an added dose of style to your smart casual work wear.
