He’s a director, he’s a producer, he’s a screenwriter; and most importantly, he’s fabulous. The 49-year-old American Horror Story creator Ryan Murphy was honoured for his contributions to media and his work in the fight against AIDS in a star-studded amFAR event in LA on October 29th, 2015. He received the Award of Inspiration from the Foundation For AIDS Research for his work. The glamorous evening was filled with joy and laughter and dazzling with A-lister celebrities like Julia Roberts, Matthew Bellamy and Lea Michele. And who better to host the event, than Gwyneth Paltrow, who has been friends with Murphy for years now. She also worked with him his hit FOX show, Glee. Kenneth Cole: The renowned designer chose to go all black for the event, pairing a black shirt and tie with a double breasted jacket with shiny black lapels.
Julia Roberts with Ryan Murphy: The legendary actress took to the stage to honour Hollywood producer and writer Ryan Murphy, who was looking dapper in a black and white tuxedo.
Jessica White: Jessica White dared to bare all in a risqué Michael Costello backless sheer gown. She opted for a nude thong under the gown’s glittering green design and nothing else.
Lea Michele: The former Glee actress, Lea Michele bought a pop of colour to the event in a gorgeous tangerine Zac Posen number from his 2016 Resort Collection. She pulled off the gown’s bold bonded crêpe architectural design with ease, choosing to pair the ensemble with a Harry Winston diamond bracelet and matching earrings.
Jamie King: Jamie King walked the dark carpet at amFAR in a striking colour block Balmain gown this October. If you think you’ve seen this number before, you’re not wrong, and you’ve got a good eye. The same piece was modelled by Alessandra Ambrosio on the ramps of PFW in March. King gave it her own style by adding a plunged neckline to the OG ramp look, amping up the oomph factor.
Rachel Zoe: Celebrity stylist Rachel Zoe strode across the floor in a fabulous black full sleeved floor length gown with a crowd of beads at the cuffs, the neckline and the hemline. She paired her outfit with soft free flowing golden locks and a dramatic red lip.
Matthew Bellamy with Elle Evans: The Muse rockstar, Matthew Bellamy and girlfriend Elle Evans were also seen in attendance at amFAR. Bellamy looked every bit the gentleman in his black tuxedo with a double breasted coat, while Evans bared her cleavage in a fantastic cutaway gown with a thigh split and an asymmetrical halter neck. She paired her outfit with a gun metal clutch and an intricate gold bangle.
Matt Bomer: The White Collar star dazzled in a sleek classic tux. Pairing his outfit with dress shoes, a bow tie and big frames, Bomer looked like he had walked right out of a fairytale. And the slicked back coiffured hair was a definite plus, don’t you think?
Zendaya: The famed singer took to amFAR in a perfect casual red carpet look with DSQUARED2 tuxedo jacket and shorts. She styled the look to be more formal with a hair up do and a nude lip. Strappy high heels and diamond earrings completed the ensemble.
Lady Gaga: The legendary pop star opted out of the quirky and outrageous ensembles she’s usually known for and chose a demure pastel pink Valentino gown with long cape sleeves and a beautiful backless panel instead. She matched her outfit with a set of an elaborate diamond necklace, earrings and a dazzling bracelet. A coiffured hair bun, dramatic winged eyeliner and a pink lip completed the look.
Alessandra Ambrosio with partner Jamie Mazur: The Victoria Secret Angel was seen at the evening with her businessman beau Jamie Mazur. Dressed up in a black plunging leotard and a gorgeous Zuhair Murad sheer number, she looked stunning. Well, at least from the waist up. We’re very concerned with what happened waist down, because that does not look red carpet to us at all. What do you think?
Denis O’Hare: The Take Me Out actor bought out the fun with a at amFAR with a caramel bow tie over a classic tux and a fabulous bowler hat. His mask is however what caught our eye. That looks like a rockstar Homer, doesn’t it?
Gwyneth Paltrow: Gywneth Paltrow was spotted hosting the amFAR event honouring her friend Ryan Murphy, in a light mint green Ralph & Russo dress. The 1970s inspired long sleeves on this ethereal floor length number have us in awe. She chose to pair her gorgeous outfit with just a pair of Harry Winston diamond earrings, keeping her look simple and elegant.
Sharon Stone: The 57-year-old Basic Instinct star wore a tuxedo with stellitoes for the evening. What we loved about the outfit was the sheer lace blouse. She styled the ensemble with a thick gold chain and crucifix that came down to her belly.
Sarah Hyland: The Modern Family star donned a plunging pink bead-embroidered Jenny Packham gown with Lorraine Schwatyz diamonds for the event. She added a dark gothic touch to her look with purple lipstick and some heavy liner.
Evan Peters: The X-men star opted for a suit instead of the traditional tuxedo for the evening, looking dapper as usual.
Joshua Jackson and Diane Kruger: Even after almost decade together, these two lovebirds are still so evidently smitten by one another. While Kruger wore a sheer pink gossamer Caroline Herrera gown with intricate embroidery on the front and a subtle layered train in the back, Jackson shunned the traditional black suit in favour of a maroon tux with black lapels. The Troy actress paired her outfit with a small black hard case Charlotte Olympia clutch, and stunning Harry Winston diamond drop earrings and a bangle.
Emma Roberts: The 24-year-old Wild Child actress donned a fabulous strapless floral Alexander McQueen for the evening.
Kelsey Grammar: The 60-year-old Golden Globe winner looked like the definition of a gentleman in a classic tuxedo with a crisp white shirt at the amFAR event.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley: This Victoria Secret Angel flaunted a timeless classic at the amFAR event. Dressed in a plunging black Saint Laurent gown, with a pocketed full skirt and a flattering cinched-in waist, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley pulled off this simple, chic yet red carpet look with ease. She chose to pair her outfit with dazzling diamond drop earrings, a tight ponytail and a dark berry pout.
E. L. James: The infamous author kept it simple at the amFAR gala, choosing to pair a white shrug over a floor-length black number.
