Sometimes, I really do wish I could be more spontaneous than I am right now. Don’t get me wrong: I’ve done some fun, on the spur of the moment road trips this year, taken off to the beaches, and even decided to come up with new ways to interact with all of you through various social media; but the joy of going to the airport with a mixed set of clothes and saying “give me a ticket for whatever flight takes off next” is not known to me – not yet, anyway. I’m a very organised person, I love being able to tell what I have planned out for work and personal time in the weeks to come. But sometimes, when I see people around me being able to go MIA (missing in action) and make the most of long weekends, there’s a twang that I can feel inside me, which still makes me wish I could take more travel breaks over a period of one year.
Now, now, I’m not sulking one bit. I love my job, but underneath all the glamour and shine, there’s a lot of hard work. Be it the clients we’re working on, content for the blog (new stories everyday!) or the fact that we have a lot of cool, new stuff lined up for 2016. Irrespective of what day of the week it is, there’s always so much to do, that most times, like a lot of people with full time jobs, I don’t get to be the wander lust bitten twenty four year old that I would so love to. To compensate for that constant urge inside of me, I decided to put together a look that would be perfect for not just every music festival around the corner, but also for a travel outfit. With prints taking over most of my wardrobe, I’ve been a bit in love with the idea of a visual clash off late, and to me, this look just does it! Layers of neck accessories, a fun hat and a shade that pretty much defines autumn: I’m feeling a little a boho at heart recently. Might it have something to do with the contrast spirit of the life I’m currently living? I think so!
