Everybody loves sexy. Everybody loves elegant. And thus, everybody loves lace, a combination of them both.
December, the ultimate party season gives you enough reason to go out there and shop till you drop! And of course, the way to look your best would have to be: (a) your confidence and personal style; and (b) the perfect wardrobe of course!
So here are two looks that you might like, making the best use of lace, the much talked about fad this season, and one of the coolest (literally, taking the weather into consideration) ways of going easy chic.
The look above is casual chic, perfect for a lunch or a casual day at work. Pink, being a day colour only adds to the ‘day’ & casual feel of the look and is perfect for a balance between smart-casual and not oh-so-overdressed!
Now here’s the second look:
Now this look would be apt for a work meeting or a formal dinner with colleagues! The lace adds to the elegance, while the length of the outfit the oomph factor. According to me? A super combination for the career-oriented fashion-conscious woman in you!
- Don’t add too much lace on your outfit. The right dose of elegance and sexiness is a must. The proportion needs to be in balance!
- The length of the outfit must definitely be taken into overall account along with the cut. Lace can be a tricky element, so be careful and play safe. Look classy sexy, not in-your-face sexy : the former lasts longer!
- Accessories are a forever-must, but don’t go all crazy with too much. Get the right sizes with the right colours. Metallics with dull/dark colours or basic coloured accessories with day and bright colours like yellow, lime green or baby pink. So once again learn the art of b.a.l.a.n.c.i.n.g!
I’d like to thank Dina, who loves being clicked and stepped up for the fun we had over this shoot! You’ll be seeing more of her shortly. Don’t forget that if you’d like to do the same, you only have to let us know!
A special mention, to Preciosa. Once again, the outfits are from there, so a big thank you to the Lulla sisters! Personally, I’d recommend every girl to go there and check out what they have!
I hope this article has helped you understanding the season favourite, lace, better than you did. Yes? Or no? Also, if you have a particular query to a look or outfit for this party season and you want a specific answer to it, all you have to do is write in to me and I’d love to get back to you 🙂
