I know I haven’t been as quick to share my LFW updates this season, but I’m sure you already know that I’ve been travelling, and things have been pretty insane this season. Apart from making a few back to back trips to Thailand and North India, I managed to come back into the city and attend all the shows at Lakme Fashion Week Spring Summer 2015. While shooting outfit stories on all days wasn’t possible this time, I did manage to get this one in place (and a couple others which you’ll see soon enough). I’m also working on stories about my favourite trends from the season, so make sure you watch this space for some interesting reads.
This summer, I’ve taken a literal “chill pill” (I’m aware of how 90’s-early 2000’s that sounds!) when it comes to my wardrobe. Everything has been about comfortable, casual attires, and I’ve honestly never been more laid back about throwing looks together. Having said that, I think that the days I’m using as ‘off’ days are working well for me, because when I feel like dressing up, it’s easy to go all out. I find that categorising my to-do lists, spacing my work out and charting things in a systematic order is helping me work so much better. Needless to say, the time off was of huge help as well. This look summarises my current state of mind like nothing else: an easy to pull off extra-long T-shirt with side slits, a pair of my favourite Nike leggings and just a little bit of accessorising with my new marsala handbag, bright gold neckpiece and super comfortable flatforms. I’ve even been skipping lip tints lately, to adopt nothing but some lip balm for a ‘barely-there’ makeup effect.
T-shirt & flatforms: Bangkok street shopping / Gold neckpiece, Pink Pvssy (Brand available all over Thailand) / Diamond and Blue Sapphire rings: Bespoke fine jewellery / Leggings: Nike / On my lips: The Body Shop Lip Balm
