Word has it that sassy singer, Taylor Swift is channeling her inner designer for the Chinese e-commerce clothing retailer, JD.com Inc. The collection designed by her will hit the stores (the web-store) in August, which is just after her music tour in Shanghai. We’re in eager anticipation to get our eyes on this collection because, like Taylor’s personal style, it’s sure gonna be ultra classy and flirty at the same time. Oh, and when we said eyes, we meant it. This collaborative collection with T-Swift will only be available in China, so if you’re looking at getting your hands on it, you’re going to have to book an air ticket for starters. One of the reasons for the hype behind this collection is because Taylor Swift’s style, in general, reflects her cute personality with some sex appeal. Her clothing is something every normal girl can get inspired by, and imagine herself in.
We all know Taylor’s love for solid colours, separates and all thing’s flared (read: skater skirts!). Now, if she’s designing a collection this big, we’re quite sure it’ll have a hint of her favourite styles. Here’s what you can expect from her new collection:
1. Skater Skirts & Crop Tops
She’s been spotted more than about a dozen times wearing this oh-so-trendy skater skirt and printed crop top combination. For the love of all things flared, she might just pop this into her collection. She can’t seem to ‘shake off’ this trend now, can she?
2. Solid Style
Sure, she’s been spotted about once or twice in floral prints or stripes; but T-Swift largely depends on making a statement through clothing in solid colours. She’s definitely not one to sport bold prints, so expect a lot of solid colours with stylish detailing and texture.
3. Matchy-Matchy Separates
We earlier did a post on how Taylor Swift, who never bares her midriff, went against this proposition to catch up with the midriff-baring, matching separates trend. And God, she seems to love them as much as we do; so much that she could land up being the world-wide ambassador for this style. Since she’s having a moment with separates, we kind of expect them in her collection too.
4. High-Waist Everything
When you think of high-waist skirts, shorts or even jeans, you can’t help but mention Taylor. From performances to everyday street style, they’re a staple in her wardrobe. Perhaps, they’ll be a staple in yours too, after this August.
5. Cut-Out Dresses
A total red carpet favourite, from dresses to gowns to jumpers, she’s donned the cut-out trend in so many ways. It’s something we love, and we’d be super glad to see it in her collection too!
She never goes ‘out of style’ now, does she?
