Playing with solids like black and gold, both the designers reinvented their cuts, embroideries, styles of layering and use of fabric. From the symbolic motifs changing each season, to the transition of spring-summer to winter-festive, shapes, color palettes and so much more; there’s been a lot around to see and love.
When I met Thampi just before his show today, all he had to say was, “I’m super nervous and I haven’t slept all night!”; well, the nervousness was most definitely a waste of emotion! With semi-sheer sarees, cinched pallo’s and gold coin belts, this collection stood out like a sexy slit. And that’s not all, the successive show managed to live up to the mood the audience had been brought into; we’re talking Payal Singhal now. Crop tops, embellished neckwork and lots of prints, Singhal definitely lived up to the standard she set for herself last season. The cherry on the cake? She had super model Lisa Haydon walk the ramp as her showstopper.
