Having a layered outfit can always be a boon when defining a specific look, but getting the right combination of it can definitely prove tricky most times. In today’s look I picked the monochrome way of dressing.
And the colour I chose – simple, understated, grey.
Here, I went with the dancinggirlnextdoor look. For the touch of sassiness, I used the hat and the length of the frilled skirt. Apart from that, I made sure the skirt I was wearing had a hint of blue, just to break that completely gonedead look (I think its important to be able to manipulate your colour palette).
Remember, using the monochrome look will definitely be makingastatement, while at the same time if you’d like to play it safe, go ahead and add a colourful jingbang of accessories (I’d recommend a pop of colour for every occasion, yes). Pinks, blues, beige/browns, greens, would look superb if you’re going ahead with something like this.
If you do happen to experiment with this, or any other style statement, do share it with us on email@example.com
Also, I hope each of you’ll remember about the ongoing contest at Fashionably Ever After. Those prizes definitely aren’t meant to stay with me (as much as I wouldn’t mind). And for those of you who haven’t thought/sent in anything yet, you should be warned: there’s some serious competition going on around here!
