It really couldn’t have been a better opening for the season at Lakme Fashion Week Winter Festive 2014. With the right balance between luxury, structured fashion and chic, approachable street style, the evening was all set to kick off the days to come with blazing guns.
Starting off with Amit Aggarwal: the show was full of gothic music, deep palettes, metallic details and beautiful sheer work. What I particularly liked, was the structured cuts and gorgeous peplum cuts. With metallic fringes and sheer backs, this was the a great collage of sexy and strong silhouettes.
The Showstopper, Sushmita Sen, sported a layered look with a gorgeous sheer back and inner pencil fitted full length skirt. The monochrome palette and volumous hair (hyperlink volumous hair to the hair care video from our YouTube channel) was all very, very glamorously put together.
Masaba Gupta’s show to no ones surprise was a major hit! With retro taking over as the central theme, we saw shiny, silk drape sarees, crop tops going high-low in layers and stunning body on silhouettes. Undoubtedly, the Shilpa a Shetty was a cherry on the cake with her gorgeous waistline showing off those perfect curves through her saree gown.
