Occasionally Experimental

Understanding your sense of personal style is something that comes with time and a substantial share of hits and misses. Once established, it becomes easier to work within your comfort zone and develop new looks. But on certain occasions (like birthdays!), you tend to become a little bored with your norm core style and simply need to stand out from the rest, and that opens up a window for experimentation.

For a recent event that we hosted with Garnier, Aanam styled a look with the unusual combination of olive green and neon pink. Since the skirt was bright in colour and a mid length, it’s something that you wouldn’t necessarily wear for your basic brunch or a date with your girls. Read: strictly reserved for a special occasion! But since we were playing host to a bunch of other bloggers and furthermore this event also coincided with Aanam’s 25th Birthday,  it was a pretty special day and called for a little experimentation. This ensemble was paired up with a berry lip to match the purple brocade border on the skirt, and a heavy dose of blush to the cheeks. Nude heels finished the look, and worked beautifully to balance out the colour.
