Any girl who refuses that the sound of the word ‘Sale’ excites her can be called out as a liar. I’m not trying to be sexist or anything, I know just as many men who get as excited as us girls, but let’s just say that women are more open about their shopping habits than most men are. Which brings me to something I wanted to share with all of you today: most of you know how I absolutely adore the collections at Only as well as Vero Moda. With the EOSS sales being on through most brands this season, I decided to raid the Only, Linking Road (Bombay) store and pick out some favourites to share with all of you. Most of these choices are dominated by my three shopping pointers: (A) comfort, because nothing can be so good looking that you should be uncomfortable while it’s on (B) wearability, because wearing a piece only once really makes the spend an epic waste (C) balance, because something that’s only “trendy” may not let it find a longer position in my wardrobe; I like for my clothes to last a few months before I can say time’s up!
Keeping all of this in mind, let me tell you that I gave myself the budget of INR 2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Rupees “Only”) and decided that all my picks need to be budget friendly. Some of these pieces have an original MRP of a larger number, but hey, it’s sale season, so everything I liked landed up fitting well within the budget. Scroll on for my favourites and check out my shopping look here:
What I loved: this adorable denim corset!
What you could wear this with: white denims for a relaxed, weekend brunch; for a formal twist you can even wear it with a blazer and smart chinos. A smart bold lip is everything you’d need to complete this look.
What I loved: this cute donut T-shirt
What you could wear this with: A pair of denims, cutesy shorts or even inside a pair of dungarees
What I loved: this fluffy, navy blue sweatshirt with the cutest symbols and letters embroidered onto it
What you could wear this with: being a winter look creator, this sweatshirt would be ideal for a pair of boyfriend jeans or even regular denims. From how comfortable this is to wear, I’d easily pick this out for travel wear, too.
What I loved: this navy blue shift dress (navy blue is taking over!)
What you could wear this with: I love shift dresses, so I’d wear it as is. I think that this outfit would make for a great date night outfit; think of this with loose curls, a nude-pink-ish lip and fluttering eyelashes! *bats eyelashes*
What I loved: this black, printed sweatshirt
What you could wear this with: another outfit that would go with everything from denims, to shorts, skirts to even dungarees.
What I loved: this very on trend black blazer with gold zip detailing
What you could wear this with: for a formal look, I’d pair this with a dress that’s
NSFW, apart from which this would go amazingly with a pair of formal trousers and a shirt-blouse, too.
