Sonam, Aditi And Anushka Shine At The Filmfare Pre-Awards Party

When you speak about putting on a show before the show, the red carpet of the pre-award party of the Filmfare awards makes the most fitting example. Sonam Kapoor’s all-black ensemble was a breath of fresh air after her slightly drab Screen Awards outfit and Aditi Rao Hydari’s oxblood lipstick will leave you hunting for that exact shade, stat. With a prelude that’s this good, we can only keep our fashion-savvy eyes wide open for the red carpet arrivals at the main event. Here are the stand-outs from last night:

1. Sonam Kapoor

Black, slicked back and classy. Sonam’s Micheal Costello gown gave us all the feels right from that sneak peek that Jacqueline Fernandez posted in her Snapchat story. With just the right amount of sheer panels for some skin show and a bold smoky eye, this is probably one of her best ensembles on a Bollywood red carpet.

2. Aditi Rao Hydari

Pantsuits are having something of a moment, and after a series of desi fusional numbers for the promotions of Wazir, Aditi Rao Hydari sports this modern number by INCRUSTD with equal parts badass and equal parts grace. The detailing on the shirt, the statement earrings and that perfect to the base make-up and hair have left us speechless.

3. Sonakshi Sinha

In matching separates by Zara Umrigar, Sonakshi Sinha shows off those curves perfectly! She adds a classy touch to the ensemble with an off-shoulder cape and accessories with matching heels. We only wish she’d added a pair of earrings or a cuff to amp up that look.

4. Anushka Sharma

If you thought Anushka Sharma‘s style was purely restricted to ripped jeans and basic tees, think again.  She drew all those stares for the right reasons in a cut-out jumpsuit by Roberto Cavalli. The heavy mascara and muted lip with that high ponytail lend her a touch straight out of the best of the Hollywood sartorial scene.
