Van Heusen has been one of those brands that I have always kept a close eye on. With their precision towards detail and amazing collaborations, they’ve always made it to the top brands on my list. When POPxo invited me to do a review on their newest collection, I was delighted! (See, being a part of their Blogger Network has perks of its’ own!)
I think it’s safe to say that store reviews are my favourite part about any new fashion season (barring fashion weeks – of course!). This time, I raided the Van Heusen Store at Phoenix Market City, Kurla, and found the spacious interiors stylishly done up with blues, beiges, reds and the most classic of ’em all: black. I decided to go around the store and pick out my top three looks, but instead, had a little more than I was expecting! Keep reading to know what my style experience at the store was like, how many pieces represented the #ArtOfDressing for me and which ones made it to my list of top five!
This monochrome clutch made it to my fav’s list the moment I laid my eyes on it! The clutch that can also be used as an oversized, really sexy wallet, can be worked with a casual look, inside my tote and also as the perfect accessory for a night about town.
Green with envy
While I’ve always been a tote-girl, I’ve always envied the women who could carry around everything they need inside a compact sling. I found this green and nude shoulder bag and fell in love with it instantly, and realised in no time that I need to get back home and try to minimise the number of items that come out of my bag – or I’m going to miss out on all these super cute pieces of arm candy! This one in particular is something I would carry to a day around meetings, and supplement it with my laptop bag.
This military oxblood number is a jacket I would love to have as part of my winter-gear! The black outlines and gold zip details are perfect for the edgy finish, and needless to say it will go with everything from my shorts to the full length denims.
Here, I gave my heart away
This red dress is one of those that makes you wonder why you don’t wear dresses more often. I saw myself in the mirror with this one on, and actually considered giving my whole wardrobe a Rachel Zane kind of makeover. It fit me just right around the waist and felt comfortable enough to move and work through the day in. I loved that the fabric was super breathable and the length was office-friendly, too.
The formal finish
The formals’ section at Van Heusen make me skip a few beats, but that was really nothing when compared with the fit of this jacket. Just right on the shoulders (which I’m sure you know is so rare to find!) and absolutely comfortable, this beige jacket made me want a full time corporate job. No kidding.
All in all, this was a fun, dress-up kind of evening with the brand. I got to see the complete collection, and I suggest you don’t miss out on it either. Get to your nearest Van Heusen Store and see it for yourself! In the meanwhile, don’t forget to follow them on Facebook and Twitter
