White Weekend

If you’re based in Bombay like me, then you know well that this is a terrible day to be thinking of wearing all white. Why, you non-Bombay folks ask? Well, because it’s raining cats and dogs, and the weather is pretty gloomy. But that part has nothing to do with why I chose to share this look with you today. The reason I chose this weekend to share this look with you is because the relaxed, pleasant weather is sending me happy reminders of the last time I got to take some time off – my trip to Mussoorie from the month before last.

Located in the heart o the property, the green house at JW Marriott Mussoorie was the perfect little spot for the team and I to dine at. Hopefully by now, you have already seen the daily vlogs from this trip, so you know exactly what I’m talking about. The outfit I chose to go with the mood I was in (and have been plunged back into courtesy of this weather) is a gorgeous, black and white one that looked quite elegant; while at the same time maintaining something of a formal tone. I think the strong collar as well as the short-long jacket that added on to the already well layered outfit might have something to do with that; either way, it was one of those looks that on wearing, felt comfortable enough to spend the day in. The delicately detailed bird embroidery that went hand in hand with the floral motifs gave the head to toe white outfit a regal vibe. I chose to complete the details of the outfit through the most minimalistic beauty details: leaving my hair natural (sort of straight) along with the littlest nude makeup.
