Winter Fresh

Winter isn’t really ‘winter’ when it comes to a city like Bombay, but that doesn’t stop me – and the rest of the fashion community – from wanting to switch our wardrobes. Colour palettes, cuts, trends, pretty much everything that takes us away from the typical summer colours. But let’s be honest: we really can’t get all layered, fluffed up and covered in this furnace of a city, when in reality all we really want is a little frost teamed with muted pastels – right?

To introduce you to the new Vero Moda Marquee collection, I chose something that would be my ideal outfit when partying on what I would like to a relatively more pleasant (weathered) evening. Hints of mint and pearl to complement the Indian skin complexion, and silhouettes that will be sure to turn heads around. After Karan Johar’s debut collection with the brand over the last two seasons, they have Kangana Ranaut gracing them with the collaboration this time around. And as if this wasn’t enough, let me give you better news: there will be one more collection – Spring Summer 2016. Coming back to Autumn Winter 2015 by Marquee: I found that the line has a lot of everyday style that was taken notches higher with the little details. Something simple, something high on style, something for your office wardrobe – there’s a little bit of everything in this one that you know you’ll need for your various days of the week. Make sure you check out the complete collection; and scroll on to see my work-meets-party look:
